Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on Your Raenest Account.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of protection to your account. Along with your password, you’ll enter a one-time code from an authenticator app, so only you can get in.

Follow these steps to turn on 2FA:

Step 1: Log In to the App

Open the Raenest app and log in with your registered email address and password.

Step 2: Go to Your Profile

Tap your profile icon to open your account settings.

Step 3: Open Security Settings

In your profile, tap “Security.” Here, you manage your account’s security features.

Step 4: Enable Two-Factor Authentication

In the Security section, find Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) and tap to enable it.

Step 5: Activate 2FA

When prompted, tap “Activate 2FA” to start the setup.

Step 6: Download an Authenticator App

You’ll see a QR code on your screen. Download an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Authy from your device’s app store.

Step 7: Scan the QR Code

Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code on the Raenest app, or enter the setup key manually. Your authenticator app will then generate a one-time code for your Raenest account.

Step 8: Save Your Recovery Code

You’ll be shown a recovery code. Keep it somewhere safe. You’ll need it if you lose access to your authenticator app or need to reset your 2FA.

Step 9: Submit and Verify

Enter the one-time code from your authenticator app into the Raenest app and tap “Submit.” Your 2FA is now on.

Logging In With 2FA

Once 2FA is on, you’ll use it every time you log in:

  1. Open the Raenest app and enter your email address and password.

  2. When prompted, open your authenticator app.

  3. Find the code for your Raenest account.

  4. Enter the code in the Raenest app and tap “Confirm.”

Your code refreshes every 30 seconds. If it changes while you’re typing, enter the latest code shown in your authenticator app.

Using 2FA When You Send Money

On a device you’ve sent money from before, some transfers will ask for the code from your authenticator app. On a new device, we’ll send a code to your phone instead, even with 2FA on. If your account has no phone number, you’ll be asked to add one first.

How Raenest Protects Your Account

2FA works alongside transfer checks when you send money, 3D Secure on card payments, and the option to freeze and unfreeze your [account/card] in the app. Each one covers a different moment, so your money stays protected at every step.
