What is a Coursera Instructor Payout Statement and Why Do We Ask for It?

Updated this week

If you earn income from teaching courses on Coursera, you’ll need to upload your Coursera Instructor Payout Statement during onboarding on Raenest. This statement confirms your earnings as an educator and helps us verify your legitimate source of income.

Why We Ask for It.

Instructors and educators who teach online often receive payouts instead of traditional pay slips. Your Coursera Payout Statement helps us:

  • Confirm your course earnings directly from Coursera.

  • Verify that your income is legitimate and consistent.

  • Ensure a smooth and compliant verification process when setting up your Raenest account.

We only use this document to verify your income — it’s never shared or used for any other reason.

How to Request Your Coursera Instructor Payout Statement

Coursera doesn’t currently offer a public portal to download instructor payment reports. However, you can easily request your payout statement by following these steps:

  1. Go to the Coursera Support Center and select Educator.

  2. Log in to your Instructor account to access the correct support options.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Contact Us.

  4. Submit a support ticket explaining that you’re an instructor and would like to request your payment or payout statement for a specific period.

  5. Include the following details in your message:

    • The name of your course(s)

    • The email address linked to your instructor account

    • The specific date range for which you need the payout statement

  6. Wait for a response from Coursera’s support team. They’ll process your request and send your payout statement via email.

Once received, upload your Coursera Instructor Payout Statement under Employment Details on Raenest as proof of income.
