How to Create a Nigerian Bank Account on Raenest as a US User

If you live in the US but still need to send or receive money in Nigeria, Raenest makes it simple to open a Nigerian naira (NGN) account right from your dashboard. This allows you to stay connected financially — whether it’s for supporting family, receiving remittances, or managing payments back home.

Steps to create your Nigerian bank account

  1. Log in to your Raenest account.

  2. On your dashboard, under Accounts, tap Get Account under Nigerian.

  3. Proceed to verify your identity as a Nigerian.

  4. Choose the ID you’d like to verify with:

    • BVN (recommended)

    • NIN

  5. If you’re verifying with BVN:

    • Enter your BVN accurately and tap Verify.

    • Your verification will be completed instantly.

  6. If you’re verifying with NIN:

    • Select NIN and enter your NIN.

    • Tap Verify.

    • Take a clear picture of your NIN card and tap Proceed to Verification.

    • Your verification will be reviewed.

  7. Once verification is complete, tap Open NGN Account.

  8. You’ll be taken to the NGN accounts page — tap Continue.

  9. We’ll review your details, and your NGN account will be created.

Start using your account

Once your NGN account is live, you can:

  • Receive money from friends and family in Nigeria

  • Send naira back home

  • Manage your Nigerian transactions alongside your US account
